What shall I give back?

Dear Friends

It is an impossible task to count all the blessings God has given us. He created us out of nothing and holds out a hand to lift us up whenever we fall in sin. All we have is from him—the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the money we receive and spend, the air we breathe—because he created everything.

What shall I give back to the Lord
For all he rendered to me?

Psalm 115:3 (116:12)

We, like King David, may ponder what we should offer back to the Lord. Not because God needs it, not because he wants it for his sake, but because it changes us. I am transformed when I give generously, I become more loving, more Christ-like, more Christian and—most importantly—more human when I give. Because when I give I place the person to whom I am giving at the centre of my existence. No longer do I accept the trick of the Devil to attempt becoming like God without God (see Genesis 3:4–5) but I place God at the centre of what I do and I become, little by little, more like him by the day.

It is not easy to be generous, it is against our fallen nature where we try to hold on to all we have and increase our wealth, but be generous we must. Give God what we can afford and a little bit more. Give him your time, your energy, your talents, your hospitality, your prayer, your worship, your study, your money. Give because he has given to you all you have and more. Give because it will transform you into the human being you were created to be—like God and with God.

I am here for you, you need only ask. Is there a way I can support your life of faith? Get in touch.

Can you help the mission?

Yes, absolutely. Offer yourselves to the Lord: pray! Make available to him all your talents and ask him how he would like you to use them — listen for his reply.

Your prayers!

With love in Christ
